Quizilla: Watch Your Back.

February 13, 2008 at 9:38 am (Uncategorized)

As I look back at my old Livejournal entries, I see that I spent a lot of time filling in crazy surveys. “What Flintstones Vitamin are you,” “What is your dirty hooker name,” “Please fill in this survey that asks you 34,574 random questions that you know no one will read.” Surveys that took me over an hour to complete? No problem. As long as it was a distraction from my current essay, I welcomed them.

As I was thinking about a topic for my blog, the idea of a PR survey assaulted my mind. So, here is a survey that everyone should want to read.

Middle name: Dawn

If you were only able to take one quality/skill from this program, what would it be: Learning how to write properly. As long as I can articulate myself through writing, I think I would able to survive.

What PR course have you enjoyed the most so far and why: Computers has been the most fun for me, because learning how to properly use programs makes everything easier. I also enjoy making Valentine’s.

If you were trapped on an island and you could have only ONE PR skill what would it be: The gift of communication. As long as I was able to hold normal conversations with palm trees and sand, I would keep my sanity.

What are you going to write in your letter for the PR students of 08/09: Obviously time management springs to mind, but I want to write something more uplifting. Something to the effect of: times might get really tough and stressful, but there will always be hilarious moments from class to fondly remember. Sometimes it is those funny moments with great people that keep me going through 4 hour classes.

What would your dream PR job be: One of my dream jobs would be doing PR for the K.N.B. Effects Group, who did special effects makeup for numerous horror films. I would also make them teach me how to make spooky creations.

And finally:

If you could be any Flintstones Vitamin, who would you be: I always enjoyed the elephant vacuum cleaner. I would be him.

If you have enjoyed this survey, please copy and paste it into your blog for answering purposes. Or, just take a moment to think of how you would have answered these deep, meaningful and probing questions.

Maybe Quizilla is looking for a PR person who knows how to write great surveys…

My favorite colour is green, I like ketchup chips because they are the best darn chip around, I cringe at the thoughts of paper cuts and I would be Bam Bam in the Flintstones vitamins of life. I was never one for surveys because I could see the panic in the interviewees eyes as I ramble on and on with my answers trying to keep up with the next new thought that pop into my head. My answers never seem to be cut dry, its like my head has billions of file folders then another two billion sub file folders. But catch me on a day where I sit down to a milkless cereal bowl in the morning and my short answers won’t even deserve that promised chocolate bar. So instead of boring you with my answers of your well put together quiz I shall leave you with a few of my favorite things: raindrops and whiskers on kitten… wait I definitely jacked that from the Von Trapp family.

If you were trapped on an island and you could have only ONE PR skill what would it be? Gift of communication? Come on! So predictable! lol jk. I would say it would be the art of publicity to publicize my plight to get my butt off that island.

    Dara – you are halarious!
If I were trapped on an Island I’d bring with me the gift of strategic communication and positive persuasion.
I would strategically communicated to the other trapped islanders (you never said I was alone on the island) the importance of why they should build me a boat out of palm trees to get us off the island. I would then follow up by positive persuasion: I am CONCERNED by our present situation on the island and I am COMMITED to finding a solution to this problem. I’m CONFIDENT that you will all do a fantastic job in building me a boat (so i can row my ass off the island…) hehhe

    Ps. I would be Dino.

If you were only able to take one quality/skill from this program, what would it be: Networking. As much as I love to meet new people, if I feel they are someone I need to impress i get nervous and most likely make a fool of myself.

What PR course have you enjoyed the most so far and why: I have a love hate thing with computers. I most enjoy sitting down to work on Linda’s assignments since we have such a range of creativity.

If you were trapped on an island and you could have only ONE PR skill what would it be: The ability to get my message out there with KEY messages. SAVE ME. Though I don’t think I would mind spending a week on a beautiful island…

What are you going to write in your letter for the PR students of 08/09: wow. So much to say. I would focus on the diversity of the program and emphasize that it goes quickly (they weren’t lying were they?)

What would your dream PR job be: To work for an agency like Zing. It seems super fun and hip. And its also in Australia. Actually, a PR job that will allow me to travel would be ideal.

    And finally:

If you could be any Flintstones Vitamin, who would you be: Pebbles. I was her for halloween one year in grade 6. May as well keep the tradition alive.

So what was your dirty hooker name anyway?

I am pretty sure my hooker name is Sammy Clarence.
Which makes me sound like an old jazz player. Not the sex appeal that I was looking for.
